How to boost wifi signal with aluminum foil / Tin foil

Aluminum Foil (WIFI Hack) 2020

Poor network connection? No WIFI signals? Stressed out? one of the common problems in today's era is a poor network connection.

People try many ways to fix this, they plug the router's cable in and out, they restart the router, they restart their phones... but all in vain.

Still, the wifi signals are low.

Why? Objects like walls, fans, books, chairs, and even human bodies block WIFI rays from reaching your phone, laptop, or any other device.

Distance is also one of the major causes of a poor WIFI connection.

Don't worry we are here to help you, there are ways in which you can boost your WIFI signals in no time at all.

The most effective of them all is to boost WIFI signals with aluminum foil.

You heard that right!

Does Aluminum Foil Improve WIFI Signal?

The answer is yes, aluminum foil can increase your WIFI speed because it works like a motor (taking signals from one side and transferring them to another).

Let us explain more about how aluminum foil can boost your WIFI speed.

Aluminum foil or tin foil is made up of 98.5 of pure aluminum that can actually work like a one-sided water motor.

When you wrap aluminum around the antennas of a router, the aluminum foil collects all the WIFI signals emerging from the antennas and transfers them to the direction of the antennas.

If your antennas are all the way to the right then wrapping the aluminum foil will allow WIFI signals to travel only to the right side.

While the left, front, and backside will remain signal less.

Let us show you exactly how to boost WIFI signals with aluminum foil.

below is the definitive guide on how to do it.

Wrapping The Router In Tin Foil

There are two ways to do this. Both of them are tested and are working successfully.

Before trying out these ways, we would highly recommend you to get a decent router for your house, because old routers suck.

Check below for recommended routers.

WITH A BOX

1/. Take a large piece of tin foil (Which matches the size of your router)

2/. Take a box, cut it in half, and place your router as shown in the image below.

Box height must be the same as antennas of the router

3/. Wrap the tin foil/aluminum foil around the upper side of the box

4/. That's it you have successfully boosted your WIFI signal.

After completing these steps you will see a big improvement in the speed and signals of your WIFI.

We would recommend you to place the router in the center of your house if you are using the first method, as the antennas are straight the WIFI signals will spread around the house.

However, the outside of the house will remain... Netless, lol.

WITHOUT A BOX

1/. Take a large piece of aluminum foil

2/. Take your router

3/. Wrap the tin foil around the antennas

4/. Turn your antennas to the direction where you want the best amount of WIFI signals. If you want them to spread, keep the antennas straight, and place your router in the center of the house.

One thing you should keep in mind that excessive use of tin foil will result in poorer WIFI signals.

We would recommend you to take foil according to the size of your router.

Some More Ideas On Boosting WIFI Signals with aluminum foil

USING EMPTY CANS

This process is the same as wrapping the aluminum foil, you only have to cut the lower part of the can correctly as shown in the image.

In this trick, you can turn your antennas to the direction where the most amount of signals are required.

After cutting the can and placing it on the antennas the router will look like this. (Our was a mess... lol)

USING A WIFI EXTENDER

If you don't want a free WIFI hack, you can use a paid one by using a WIFI extender.

A WIFI extender is a gadget used for extending WIFI signals. It looks and works like a router.

You can place a WIFI extender on a "dead zone", a place where your network signal dies.

In this way, you can use your WIFI in any part of the house.
